SMS Terms and Conditions
Program name: AHIS Customer Service Alerts. Last updated September 10, 2026.
The short version. We text existing customers about their own policies and their own service requests. We never send marketing or promotional texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to end, reply HELP for help, or call (800) 360-9441. We do not sell or share your mobile number.
1. About this program
AHIS Customer Service Alerts is a customer care and account notification program operated by American Health Insurance Services LLC. It exists so the people we have already enrolled can reach an agent by text and get timely information about the coverage they already have.
This program does not send marketing or promotional messages. We do not use it to advertise plans, run promotions, or solicit new business.
2. What we send
- Appointment reminders and confirmations for agent calls.
- Requests for documents or information needed to complete an application or a service request you started.
- Status updates on your application, enrollment, or an open service issue.
- Renewal, Annual Notice of Change, and Open Enrollment date reminders for the policy you already hold.
- Direct replies from your agent to questions you sent us by text.
Sample messages
- Appointment reminder: “AHIS: Reminder, your plan review with agent Maria is tomorrow at 10:15 AM MDT. Reply C to confirm or call (800) 360-9441 to reschedule. Reply STOP to opt out.”
- Document request: “AHIS: We still need a copy of your proof of address to finish your application. Call (800) 360-9441 or email Contact@AHISAgency.com. Reply STOP to opt out.”
- Renewal notice: “AHIS: Open Enrollment starts Oct 15. Your current plan changed its drug tiers for next year. Call (800) 360-9441 for a free review. Reply STOP to opt out.”
- Reply to a customer question: “AHIS: Yes, Dr. Nguyen is still in network for your 2026 plan. Anything else we can check? Reply STOP to opt out.”
- Enrollment status: “AHIS: Your enrollment was accepted by the carrier. Your ID card should arrive in 7-10 days. Questions? Call (800) 360-9441. Reply STOP to opt out.”
3. How you opt in
We only message people who gave us express written or verbal consent. There are three ways that happens:
- Verbally on a recorded call. During an enrollment or service call, a licensed agent asks whether you want text updates about your policy and reads you the disclosure below. Your answer is captured on the call recording and logged to your record.
- On your insurance application. Our paper and electronic applications include a separate, unchecked SMS consent box with the same disclosure. Checking it is optional and does not affect your application.
- On this website. The contact form and the call-back form include a separate, unchecked consent box with the same disclosure. Leaving it unchecked does not affect your request.
The disclosure you agree to reads:
I agree to receive text messages from American Health Insurance Services about my policy and my service requests, including appointment reminders, renewal and enrollment dates, document requests, and replies from my agent. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Consent is never a condition of purchasing insurance or of receiving service from us. We do not buy, rent, or import phone lists, and we do not accept consent gathered by a third party on our behalf.
4. Message frequency
Message frequency varies. Most members receive fewer than 6 messages per month. Volume depends on what is happening with your policy. Expect more messages around Open Enrollment and around the time you file a claim or start an application, and fewer at other times.
5. Cost
We do not charge for these messages. Message and data rates may apply depending on your plan with your mobile carrier. Ask your carrier if you are unsure what your plan includes.
6. How to stop messages
Reply STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT to any message from us. We will send one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and after that we will not text you again unless you opt back in.
You can also call (800) 360-9441 or email Contact@AHISAgency.com and ask us to remove your number.
Opting out of texts does not cancel your insurance and does not stop required notices your carrier sends you by mail.
7. How to get help
Reply HELP to any message and we will reply with our name and support contact information. For a real person, call (800) 360-9441 during Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Mountain, or email Contact@AHISAgency.com.
8. Supported carriers
The program is supported on major United States carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, Google Voice, and most regional carriers and resellers.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission by your carrier and is outside our control.
9. Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Read the full Privacy Policy for how we handle the rest of your information and how long we keep consent records.
10. Eligibility and conduct
You must be 18 or older and the account holder or an authorized user of the mobile number you enroll. Tell us if your number changes or is reassigned so we do not message someone else. Do not send us threatening or unlawful content.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version always lives at ahisagency.com/sms-terms with the date at the top. Continuing to accept messages after a change means you accept the updated terms.
